Eat soft meals with minimum chewing after a root canal, such as applesauce, yoghurt, eggs, and fish. Spicy or crunchy foods should be avoided because they can harm your teeth. Instead, choose soft foods. To avoid biting your cheek or tongue, some dentists advise waiting a few hours before eating while your mouth is numb.
